{"id":1321,"date":"2021-11-10T09:27:15","date_gmt":"2021-11-10T14:27:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationaldcp.com\/?p=1321"},"modified":"2021-11-10T09:27:16","modified_gmt":"2021-11-10T14:27:16","slug":"strengthening-the-safety-chain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaldcp.com\/strengthening-the-safety-chain\/","title":{"rendered":"Strengthening the Safety Chain"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>When it comes to the safety of a supply chain working environment, employees, supervisors, and managers can all help by making sure they\u2019re educating themselves on the identification of potential hazards and implementing and maintaining the correct safety procedures.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National DCP\u2019s (NDCP) Warehouse and Food Safety Manager Nick McAfee was featured in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.assp.org\/docs\/default-source\/psj-articles\/ltpater_1121.pdf?sfvrsn=cf889b47_2\">American Society of Safety Professionals Journal<\/a> highlighting his focus in promoting safety in a leadership, distribution and warehouse setting. As an expert in the field, his implemented safety tactics have reduced NDCP\u2019s soft-tissue injuries in our warehouses by&nbsp;56%&nbsp;in a one-year time span.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McAfee has seen a disproportionate number of incidents among less-than-a-year new hires, thrown into a high-paced environment, who may not know the most efficient ways to work while protecting themselves.
